Denis Steurs & An Wesenbeek Seminar

For many the name Denis Steurs is synonymous with our sport. A world renowned trainer he is known primarily for his assistance to several world champions of various breeds, proving that using his methods of dog psychology and behaviour is a sure way to success. Denis is also known for his educational seminars and training based films.

We have great pleasure in announcing our very first seminar with Denis, and would also like to introduce An Wesenbeek a trainer held in high regard with a background in psychology and educational behaviour. This unique combination, in a meeting of minds has proven very successful with their innovative techniques and use of media to illustrate their concepts and ideas. Denis and An have worked together for some time in Europe and this will be their very first seminar of a series in the UK which we are privileged to host.

The proposed dates for the two day seminar are 24th/25th of April 2010. Places will cost £70 for the whole weekend or £40 for those wishing to attend for one day only. We anticipate a high demand for this event and as places are limited we recommend that you book early in order to avoid disappointment.
To request a booking form please email us.

Participants will have the choice of attending one or both days, as each day will cover separate topics. For those attending on both days there may be the opportunity to put their new found knowledge into practice with their dogs.

We can recommend the following Hotels in the Dover area for those travelling from further afield:
Premier Inn The Plough, (Dover West)
Marine Court
The Duke of York's, Premier Inn

News:

Pete, one of our young members, is currently training as a helper. At the end of February we organised a helper training day where he had the privilege of training with Denis Steurs. Thanks go to all those folks who kindly donated their dogs and their time in assisting us to run this event and helping to make it a success.

Thanks to the GSDL WDG for giving us an introduction on their website; as a result of which we received a number of enquiries. As a newly affiliated club to the GSDL we would like to extend our thanks for the warm welcome we have received from all.

Visits:

At the end of September 2009 and again this January we hosted a club visit with 'South Valley', (see our Gallery for pictures), as always a great day was had by all and we look forward to seeing them again.
